CONCEPT

The design of the LSD Heritage House creates a welcoming space with its interaction and connectivity.  The inspiration of the design comes from the sky, which is a universal experience. The sky is an element that connects people all over the world, yet depending on where you are; you get a different view and perspective.  This idea is mimicked in this design, in that the deaf and hearing are in the same space, but have a completely different experience.  Curves are dominant throughout and you get a different perspective depending on where you are standing in relation to the shape.  The design allows for the deaf and hearing communities to switch roles through a central interactive area. The two interactive spaces are connected by a visual tunnel that is constantly changing throughout the year.
